Shannon Glass and Alicia Carver have been named Students of the Month by the Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639.

Glass, 18, a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School, is a varsity cheerleader, a member of the orchestra, National Honor Society, Pep Club, SAVE and Student Senate. She has participated in Quad-State String Festival, All-District Orchestra and state music contest.

She is the daughter of Barbara Glass and the late John Glass of Cape Girardeau.

Carver, 17, a senior at Notre Dame High School, plays tennis and is a member of the drill team, the Pep Club, the school musical, SADD, Pro-Life, Future Homemakers of America and participated in government day.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kipp Kreitzer of Cairo, Ill.
