Students of the month have been honored for October and September by the Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639.

October students of the month were Sarah Anne Deimund and Meg Beussink.

September students of the month were Greta Glastetter and Natalie Boren.

Deimund, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Deimund of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School.

Deimund has been active in National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Beta Club, Student Council and Chamber Choir. She has participated in the all-school musical, vocal contests, Missouri Girls State, Young Life and college preparatory programs.

She plans to attend college and major in Spanish.

Beussink, 17, is the daughter of Stephen and Deborah Beussink of Jackson. She is a senior at Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau.

Beussink has been active in French Club, SADD and girls basketball, and was manager of the volleyball and softball teams. She is an accompanist at church services and a member of the parish youth group.

She plans to pursue a career in physical therapy or physical medicine.

Glastetter, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Glastetter of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Notre Dame High School.

She has been active in SADD, Pep Club, Future Business Leaders of America and National Honor Society. She plans to major in accounting.

Boren, 17, is the daughter of Bill and Linda Boren of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School.

She has been active in National Honor Society, Red Dagger, Thespians, track, cheerleading, Letterman's Club, Young Life and Future Business Leaders of America. She plans to attend college and study theater arts.
