SIKESTON -- An elderly man was killed after being struck by two vehicles Wednesday night in Sikeston.

The man, identified as Robert Meunier, was crossing U.S. Highway 61, when he was struck by a southbound vehicle at about 9:50 p.m. Meunier was also hit by the vehicle following the first, a Sikeston Department of Public Safety spokesman said.

Meunier was transported to Missouri Delta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The drivers of the vehicles were not arrested, and no other injuries were reported, the spokesman said.
