Educator, chamber musician and soloist Brenda Bruce will perform a piano recital Friday afternoon at Southeast Missouri State University.
Bruce, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. L.A. Bruce of Sikeston, will perform at 3:30 p.m. at Academic Auditorium.
The concert will feature music from Beethoven, Chopin, Poulenc, Ravel and Debussy. A slide show will accompany the recital.
Bruce earned her bachelor's degree in music education from Central Methodist College and a master's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music.
She has performed with the North Carolina Symphony at the Bach Festival and at the North Carolina Museum of Art. She also received an "Emerging Artists" grant from the City of Raleigh.
Tickets for the recital are $4 for adults and $2 for senior citizens. Admission is free with a faculty or student I.D.
