The fourth-grade students harvested lettuce, broccoli, bok choy, kohlrabi and radishes from their gardens to be shared among the students and their families. The students then planted sweet potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. Master Gardeners and volunteers and employees from the University of Missouri Extension Center work with the students in the "Eating from the Garden" program, which teaches students how to grow vegetables and practice healthy eating habits.
