With this year's ornament, local artist Don Greenwood has captured a scene from the Trail of Tears' winter of 1838-1839.

The ornament is 24K gold on brass and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The ornaments can be purchased at Bank of Missouri, Capaha Bank, Commerce Bank and Mercantile Bank in Cape Girardeau, as well as the Easter Seals Center at 1912 Broadway.
