An pre-dawn car crash has claimed the life of one teenager and injured another.
The accident happened Tuesday on Highway 84 when a pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old man left the highway and flipped sideways into a water-filled ditch about two miles west of Kennett, Missouri. The driver and a 17-year-old female passenger were trapped inside the vehicle, with the driver's side submerged.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was transported with injuries to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
The two have not yet been identified. The accident scene was not discovered until about 8 a.m.
An official report is pending.
