JEFFERSON CITY -- The Mingo National Wildlife Refuge, near Puxico, will hold its annual "Eagle Days" sessions Feb. 2-3.
No registration is required but participants should arrive early for best eagle viewing.
Guided eagle watches, educational displays, and an appearance by Phoenix, a live bald eagle exhibited by Dickerson Park Zoo, Springfield, are part of each event. Activities are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Officials suggest that participants dress warmly. Cameras and binoculars are permitted.
The Missouri Department of conservation recently concluded a 10-year program to re-establish a breeding population of bald Eagles in the state.
