Thirteen area individuals were recently arrested following a "round-up" conducted by the Bootheel Drug Task Force with help from the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department, Caruthersville and Hayti police departments and the FBI.
In the early morning hours Friday, several arrests were made as a result of investigations conducted by the above listed agencies over the past six months to a year.
According to information provided by the Bootheel Drug Task Force, out of 22 felony arrest warrants, including one federal indictment, 13 individuals were arrested. Those individuals include Karl McGee, 27, of Caruthersville; Terrence Hudson, 24, of Hayti; Alan Grant, 21, of Steele; Jimmy Lockhart, 35, of Hayti; Jason Harris, 27, of Steele; Adam Marks, 26, of Hayti; Bennie McFerrin, 58, of Hayti; Willie Grady, 50, of Caruthersville; Betty Hollywood, 47, of Caruthersville; Nick Moore, 25, of Hayti; Mark Sharp, 21, of Hayti; Damien Armstrong, 18, of Hayti; and Camilla Miles, 33, of Hayti.
Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell indicates that even more arrests are expected to follow, as a number of suspects remain at large.
