Downtown golf tourney set for Sunday

The First-Ever Tenth Annual Louis J. Lorimier Memorial World-Famous Downtown Golf Tournament and All-You-Can Eat Catfish Buffet is set for Sunday.

Tee time for the event, a fundraiser for the Red House Interpretive Center, is 1 p.m. at the Common Please Courthouse gazebo. BirdieBalls and strike pads will be provided; each golfer is asked to bring a 5-iron or 6-iron.

A catfish dinner will be served at 3 p.m. in the Yacht Club at Port Cape Girardeau.

Entry forms are available at cityofcapegirardeau.org/Parks/Red-House-Interpretive-Center.aspx or the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department.

The registration fee is $35. All ages are invited to participate.
