A new date has been set for the launch of Cape Girardeau's second public art outdoor exhibition.
The seven new sculptures replacing those that have been on display along Broadway for nearly a year will be unveiled at a special reception and kickoff event at 6 p.m. April 10 at the Vasterling Suites Courtyard at the southwest corner of Broadway and Fountain Street. The reception is open to the public.
The exhibition was juried by the Cape Girardeau Public Art Committee, which includes representatives from the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, Old Town Cape, Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce and the city of Cape Girardeau. Those who wish to learn more may call the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri at 334-9233 or visit capearts.org/capesculpture or facebook.com/CapeSculpture.
