KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A 33-year-old man who has already been in prison 18 years for a 1990 rape in Kansas City has been sentenced to 18 more years for another rape earlier that year.

Last year investigators matched Harry McNeal Jr.'s DNA with evidence from the rape of a woman at her Kansas City home while her 6-year-old son slept beside her. The woman testified that she's still traumatized by the attack and can't sleep without a gun or knife in the room.

McNeal was arrested three months later for sexually assaulting a 60-year-old woman. In prison, McNeal received 203 conduct violations and was segregated from other inmates for more than eight years.
