Modular homes have had substantial increases in sales in the last 10 years. This success is due to innovative design and manufacturing techniques, which produce a higher-quality product at a square-foot cost that can't be matched by local contractors.

The new line of homes that Dmart is carrying comes from Energy Mate Homes, a division of Patriot Homes, one of the largest manufacturers in the United States, and is built in Elkhart, Ind.

Dmart Homes, owned and operated by the Drury Southwest Inc., has two sites in the Cape Girardeau area. The company plans to market its new modular homes at Tolbert Estates Subdivision on I-55, a half-mile north of Bent Creek Golf Course.

Each Dmart carries a modular home, along with a large selection of single and double-wide manufactured homes.
