BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — A Dexter, Mo., man has been arrested and faces pornography charges, according to the Dexter Police Department.
Donnie Lee Vaughn, 26, of Dexter has been charged with the Class A misdemeanor of furnishing pornographic materials to minors. He was arrested Monday at the Dexter Police Department after he was questioned and allegedly admitted to the charges.
According to Det. Sgt. Corey Mills' report, last week he was contacted at police headquarters by a Dexter woman whose 14-year-old granddaughter had received a pornographic text message on her cell phone that was allegedly sent by Vaughn, the victim's boyfriend according to the complainant.
"The video consists of three animated cartoon characters (Bugs Bunny, Porky Pigg and Jessica Rabbit from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit) engaged in explicit sexual contact," said Mills' report. "I spoke with [the victim] and she admitted 'Donnie Vaughn sent her the video described above and advised that she had deleted the video text message from her phone.'"
At that time, Mills took the victim's phone into custody as evidence. He then stated that on Monday he interviewed Vaughn at police headquarters.
"Donnie admitted he sent [the victim] a video text message of three animated cartoon characters engaged in explicit sexual contact," Mills reported. "I showed Vaughn pictures of the video text message I had taken and Vaughn advised it was the same video he sent [the victim.]
Vaughn is currently being held in the Stoddard County Justice Center on a $25,000 cash bond. The range of punishment for a Class A misdemeanor is a term of not more than one year in the county jail, a fine of not more than $1,000 or a combination of fine and imprisonment.
