WARE, Ill. -- A Dexter, Mo., man sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash on Highway 3, the Illinois State Police reported.
The Illinois State Police and the Union County Sheriff's Department responded about 2:30 p.m. Thursday to Highway 3 just south of Refuge Road.
A southbound 2008 Pontiac G6 driven by Phillip E. Bailey Jr., 33, of Dexter crossed the centerline into the path of 2004 International truck semitrailer driven by Mark J. Millering, 53, of Jackson, the state police said.
Bailey was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
