BERNIE, Mo. -- A 25-year-old Dexter, Mo., man was arrested earlier this week on charges of assault and armed criminal action in connection with a stabbing, the Daily Dunklin Democrat reported. According to the Bernie Police Department, officers were called to a house on Walter Street on Monday in reference to a stabbing. Officers found no one at home and determined the victim had been taken to Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter. At the hospital, the victim told officers that Coby Morlan had stabbed him with a kitchen knife following an argument between the two. Morlan is being held on a $75,000 cash-only bond.
