A campaign headquarters to cover operations in a 10-county area from Perry County south, was opened in Cape Girardeau Friday by the Missouri Democratic Coordinated Campaign.

"The first event we will be working is the fair next week. We hope to use that time to not only distribute information about candidates, but to also recruit volunteers," said Eaton.
Rick Althaus, chairman of the county Democratic committee, said by sharing an office with the coordinated campaign, it will insure regular staffing of and a more effective campaign use of resources.
"We hope anyone interested in helping will come by," said Eaton. "We need all the help we can get."
