All Democrats in Cape Girardeau County, interested in participating in the delegate selection process should gather at the lower level of the County Administration Building, adjacent to the courthouse in Jackson, March 30, for their mass county meeting, which will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
This meeting is the first level of the delegate selection process in Missouri and will eventually lead to selection of Democratic delegates and alternates to the Democratic National Convention, which will be held on August 14-17 in Los Angeles, California. Persons elected on March 30 will attend their Congressional District Convention on April 27 and the State Convention on May 13.
Participation is open to all voters who wish to participate as Democrats, regardless of race, sex, age, color, creed, national origin, religion, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, economic status, philosophical persuasion or physical disability, who are residents of and registered voters in Cape Girardeau County who are at least 18 years of age, who declare themselves to be Democrats, and who are not members of any other political party.
