The Agriculture Bowl Team, consisting of members of the Southeast Missouri State University chapter of Delta Tau Alpha, successfully defended its title April 7-9, capturing first in the national competition for the second straight year.

"This is the first time in national Delta Tau Alpha history that this has occurred," said Danny Terry, chairman of Southeast's agriculture department.

The competition, which the Southeast team also won last year, was one of several events held in conjunction with the 35th annual convention of Delta Tau Alpha National Honor Society of Agriculture on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

Ten teams from Delta Tau Alpha chapters in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Ohio, Texas, Kansas, Kentucky and Louisiana competed.

Southeast's Delta Tau Alpha chapter also placed first in the Corbus Book competition, which requires each chapter to submit a complete record in book form of its activities during the past year.

Randy Koenig, an agribusiness major from Marble Hill, was elected to the national office of Midwest vice president. Koenig will work with the Delta Tau Alpha chapters in Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas during the 1994-1995 academic year.
