DELTA -- Kindergarten enrollment for the Delta public schools will be held April 29 and 30.
Registration will be conducted in reverse alphabetical order: Wednesday 8:30-10:30 a.m., Z-S; 12:30-2 p.m., M-R; Thursday 8:30-10:30 a.m., L-C; 12:30-2 p.m., B-A.
Enrollment will be conducted at the elementary school. Each child will participate in a series of tests: developmental, hearing, vision, speech and language.
Children in the school district who will be 5 years old before July 1, 1992 should participate. Parents need to bring their child's birth certificate, immunization record and social security number. The screening and testing will take about an hour.
Parents may call the elementary school at 794-2440 prior to the enrollment date. A folder will be made for the child, which will speed up the process.
Information gathered will help school officials plan for the next year's kindergarten class.
