DELTA GRADUATES EARN $65,276 IN SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

DELTA -- The Delta R-5 Class of 1992, consisting of 25 graduates, were honored in a graduation ceremony in the high school gym on May 21. Delta graduates were offered $65,276 in scholarship awards and honors.

Those graduates receiving awards and scholarships were:

Ryan Burnett, class valedictorian: Missouri Higher Education academic scholarship (Bright Flight); Southeast Missouri State University Governor's Scholarship; president academic fitness award; college preparatory studies certificate; national scholar/athlete award; NASSP principal's leadership award; and perfect attendance award.

Joann Schmitt, class saluatorian: Southeast Missouri State University Regent's Scholarship; president academic fitness award; college preparatory studies certificate; perfect attendance award.

Sharon Andrews: 4.0 grade point average; Cottey College Sigler Scholarship; University of Missouri Curator's Scholarship; Southeast Missouri State University Regent's Scholarship; presidential academic fitness award; college preparatory studies certificate.

Marsha Bowers: Southeast Missouri State University President's Scholarship; presidential academic fitness award; college preparatory students certificate; national scholar/athlete award.

Melissa Reitzel: MFA Foundation Scholarship; Capital Bank of Jackson scholarship; Gordonville Mutual Insurance Co. scholarship; Daughters of the American Revolution award; presidential academic fitness award (extraordinary effort).

Robby Seay: Delta PTO scholarship; presidential academic fitness award (extraordinary effort); college preparatory studies certificate.

Keith Eftink: Delta S.A.D.D. chapter scholarship; perfect attendance award.

Neil Hester: Delta CTA (Paul Bock) scholarship; college preparatory studies certificate.
