The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is planning two sand volleyball leagues this summer at the new sand courts at Arena Park.
A "four-on-four" league will start its eight-week season June 2. Games will be played Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
A "six-on-six" co-ed league starts a 14-week season June 1. This league, which will play games Wednesday evenings, requires two females on the court at all times.
Entry fee in either league is $90 per team, which includes officials, sand volleyballs and awards. Today is the entry deadline.
The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department also will host a "four-on-four" sand volleyball tournament May 30 at the new sand courts in Arena Park.
The double-elimination tournament is open to women and men. The entry fee is $30 per team, and today is the entry deadline. For more information contact Penny at 335-5421.
