Day camp introduces youngsters to 4-H camp

Organized eight years ago by the Young Americans 4-H Club led by Dortha Strack, Dortha's Day Camp for Clover Kids gives children, ages 5 to 7, the chance to experience what 4-H camp will be like when they get older.

This year's theme, "Fishing for 4-H," gave campers hands-on experience with a program led by the Missouri Conservation Department.

Other activities were centered on the them. The one-day camp concluded with the planting of a weeping willow donated to Cape County Park from Sunny Hill Gardens and Florist.
