SUCCESS, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas State Police say a Missouri man is dead after crashing his bicycle into an oncoming vehicle in northeastern Arkansas.

State police say the crash happened Wednesday at Arkansas 328 and U.S. 67 in Clay County. According to a preliminary report, 72-year-old Johnie C. Brooks of Naylor, Missouri, died when his bicycle collided with an oncoming Jeep.

Authorities say Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep wasn't injured.
