Crowd comes out for 2009 Barn Party

Spencer and Camden Hooe of Jackson play washers Saturday at the 2009 Barn Party at the 5-H Ranch outside of Jackson. The event had washers and horseshoes tournaments in addition to live music. "It's just a big party, an excuse to have a good time with some good people," said John D. Hale, organizer of the event and vocalist and guitarist for the John D. Hale Band. "... We just really enjoy seeing the people relax and enjoy a nice Saturday night with everyone." Last year the event drew more than 600 people; attendance was nearing that figure at sunset Saturday.
