Robert L. Cox, professor emeritus of Southeast Missouri State University, was awarded honorary life membership in the International Graphic Arts Education Association at the annual conference held at Clemson University, Clemson, S.C.

Cox served on the board of directors for a number of years and as the organization's president in 1977. He also received the organization's Fred J. Hartman Award of Merit in 1989.

Members of the IGEA, at its closing session, contributed $550 to help with flood cleanup in Missouri.
