KWKZ's well known country cousin will hold The Cousin Carl Farm Show for the first time March 8 and 9 in Arena Park.
Bill Anderson, aka radio personality Cousin Carl, traveled for years to the Mid-South Farm & Gin Show in Memphis, Tenn., and wondered why there wasn't something like the event in this area, since agriculture is such an important part of Southeastern Missouri, said Lindsey Graham of KWKZ.
More than 100 vendors are slated to participate in the free two-day agriculture expo, which will include daily live broadcasts of the Cousin Carl show with the Merschmann Seed Co.
Other family-friendly attractions scheduled are an antique tractor parade, antique tractor pull, pedal tractor pull, food, train rides, a petting zoo, pig races, farm toy show, wagon rides and prize giveaways.
Daily round-table discussions will feature "The Voice of American Agriculture" Max Armstrong, Ford Baldwin, Robert Henry and Cousin Carl, sponsored by the Robert Henry Seed Co.
Festivities will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
