Perryville man gets probation for marijuana
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Perry County Circuit Court Judge Benjamin Lewis sentenced a 43-year-old Perryville man to five years' probation Friday after he pleaded guilty to felony manufacture, produce or attempt to manufacture more than five grams of marijuana in a residence when a child was present. Perry County sheriff's office arrested Paul M. Cavins in his 1944 N. Kingshighway residence in June after a drug bust there uncovered 15 marijuana plants, some processed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and illegally possessed prescription drugs. Two women were also arrested also at the scene.
Rape case review continued to January
FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Zane L. Twomey, charged with statutory rape and sodomy for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old girl, had his case review Friday continued to Jan. 12 before Perry County circuit court Judge Benjamin Lewis.
