County commission approves bids for surplus vehicles

The Cape Girardeau County Commission approved bids for the sale of three surplus vehicles at its Monday meeting.

B&B Auto Salvage won bidding for two vehicles for total of $670. Steve's Cleaning Service won the other with a bid of $752.

The commission also reappointed Teresa Mauer to the Senior Citizens Service Fund Board.

In other business

* Commissioner Paul Koeper said he plans to contact Mississippi County officials this week to offer restoration help after roads were heavily damaged by recent flooding. Presiding Commissioner Clint Tracy and Commissioner Jay Purcell voiced their approval of Koeper's statement.
