MARSTON, Mo. -- A fire that started Sunday night destroyed 68 cotton modules at the Richardson Gin in Marston.

The fire started at about 11:15 p.m., according to a representative at the gin. Firefighters were still on the scene Monday morning. At one point part of U.S. 61 in New Madrid County had to be closed because of low visibility due to smoke from the fire.
