JACKSON -- Gina Cook, former manager of the Andrew Jackson store here, has purchased the business.
"I worked at the store a total of four years," said the new owner, who started as a part-time employee. "I was manager the last two years."
Cook on Monday assumed operation of the men's formal-wear sales and rental store at 102 S. High.
"We also have formal wear for women," said Cook, adding that she has expanded the business to include wedding invitations, gift items, and some bridal accessories.
The Andrew Jackson has been in business 19 years, opening in 1973. Tom Schulte and his wife, Pam, were previous owners.
Schulte started working at the store in 1974, and became its owner in 1983.
The store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Thursday hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
