CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission has awarded contracts to resurface several routes in Southeast Missouri.
The contracts call for a one-inch asphalt overlay of existing pavements this summer. A contract for five of the projects, totalling $408,553, was awarded to Girardeau Contractors Inc. of Cape Girardeau. The projects are scheduled to be completed by Oct. 1.
The resurfacing projects include:
About 18 miles of Route 51 in Bollinger County, from Route 72 near Patton to Route 34 in Marble Hill.
About three miles of Route 34 in Bollinger County, from Route ZZ to Route 51.
About five miles of Route 34 in Cape Girardeau County, from Route 72 to Route UU.
About one mile of Route PP in Cape Girardeau County, from Route 34 to the Jackson city limits.
Outer Road in Scott City along Interstate 55, from Route K to the end of Outer Road.
