There's still a week left to file for election to Missouri school boards, but already several local schools have full-blown races in place.

Most Missouri school boards will fill two terms of three years during the elections, which will be held April 8. Candidates have until Jan. 21 to file for the elections.

In Cape Girardeau, Robert Scott Brown and incumbent the Rev. William Bird have filed; in Jackson, Scott W. Wren, Fred Jones and incumbent Brent Wills.

In Meadow Heights, incumbent Terry Propst, Terry Wagner and Bill Van De Ven; in Perryville, Tom Frasher; in Oran, incumbents Tom Urhahn and Carla Graviett and Marvin Glueck have filed.

In Chaffee, incumbent Donna Cannon has filed; in Nell Holcomb, incumbent Dwayne Kirchoff, Jackie Payne and Darrin Pruitt; in Delta, incumbents Diane Horn and Herbert Blattel Jr.; in Oak Ridge, incumbents Steve Schonoff and Darrell Hahs have filed.

In Scott City, incumbents Nancy Caldwell and Scott Amick; in Kelly, incumbent Jim Simons and Mitchell Sander have filed.
