COMPANY OBSERVES 10TH ANNIVERSARY

Heartland Telephone Services Inc. is observing its 10th anniversary this year.

Heartland was established in 1987 by Nancy Wardron. She was joined by Bob Tucker as a partner. Tucker purchased the entire company in 1990.

The company at 255 S. Plaza Way in Cape Girardeau provides sales and service of business telephone systems.

Heartland, which particpated in the recent Business Expo at the Show Me Center, presented a $1,200 telephone system to a lucky winner in observance of its anniversary.

The company, which started with two people, now employs six people, and is a Lucent Technology dealer. It has expanded into Southern Illinois and throughout Southeast Missouri.

Tucker has more than 30 years in telephone service. He was with Southwestern Bell more than 20 years before founding Heartland Telephone Service.
