Family: I am married. My husband is Michael Parker, and I have two children, Adam, 14 and Derek, 12.
Job: I teach at Southeast Missouri State University in the Department of Social Work. I coordinate the Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Project. I train social work students to work for the Missouri Children's Division (formerly known as DFS) in the child protection unit. I also work part-time for Tender Hearts Child Therapy Center as a child therapist.
What do you like most about the area? I like the fact that Cape Girardeau offers a great atmosphere in which to raise children.
Favorite food: Chocolate anything!

Best advice: Leave the world a little bit better than you found it.
What would you do if you won the lottery? Send my children to the colleges that they are hoping to get scholarships to and give some money to children's charities.
Pet peeve: Improper use of the English language.
