Family reunion for Branums set for Saturday
The descendants of Michael and Angelique Branum of Hornerville, Mo., will hold a reunion with a potluck meal to begin at noon Saturday at the Christian Mission Church on Highway 72 in Benton, Mo. Parents Without Partners events scheduled
* From 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday Parents Without Partners will attend line dance lessons at Circle S Saddle.

Relay for Life to hold dinner dance
A dinner featuring grilled pork steaks with all the trimmings will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday by Relay for Life. There will also be a raffle, and dancing with music by Southern Fire beginning at 8 p.m. The event will be held at the Leopold, Mo., Knights of Columbus Hall. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.
Relay for Life team plans doughnut fund raiser
From 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be for sale at the Gift Baskets and Candles Extraordinaire parking lot, 117 E. Jefferson St. in Jackson. A great Father's Day treat, this fund raiser is sponsored by the Fruitland 4-H Relay for Life team. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
Riley family reunion seeks brownies for dessert

Riverside Regional Library launches summer Reading program
Head to the library this summer for silly jokes, games and humor of all kinds. The 2003 Summer Reading Program, "Laugh It Up @ Your Library!" is open to all young people preschool age through adult. Programs, story hours, a reading club and more will be offered for all ages. Registration began June 2 and continues through the summer. Children of all abilities are welcome and programs are free of charge. Adults must accompany children to the programs. Family fun day at Coad Chevrolet Saturday
The Coad Chevrolet Relay for Life team, Freebird, will hold a family fun day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Coad Chevrolet, 517 S. Kingshighway, Cape Girardeau. Modern Woodmen add to member benefits
Members of Modern Woodmen of America have added two new free programs to fraternal member benefits: lower prescription drug costs and a child identification program.
The organization's prescription drug discount program provides a prescription card honored by numerous participating pharmacies across the country.
The child identification kit stores fingerprints, DNA samples, personal information, medical and dental records and a photograph. Contact the Modern Woodmen district office at 651-0030 for more information.
Saxony Classic Golf Tournament supports education
Members of the community are invited to join the Saxony Classic Golf Tournament in support of Lutheran Christian Education. Proceeds will benefit the Saxony Annual Fund for Excellence. Scheduled for Sept. 26 at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson, the deadline for registration is Sept. 1.
This year's outing includes Beat the Mystery Golfer, Beat the Pro and prize drawings as well as complimentary on-course beverage and snack cards. Hole-in-one prizes include the opportunity to win a new 2004 Buick Rendezvous from Van Matre Buick.
