Senior information day to be held Friday
The second annual Cape Girardeau Senior Information Day will be from 9:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the gym of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
"There are many services that seniors are not aware of," said Ruth Dockins, spokeswoman for the Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging. "As many as 20 service providers will be on hand the meeting."
Several health-care organizations will also attend, and door prizes and a lunch will be offered, she said.
State Rep. Jason Crowell will be guest speaker and will discuss the legislative session just ended.
The first 100 people to sign up for the session will receive a free lunch.
More information is available by calling Area Agency on Aging at 335-3331.
