Scheduled for Saturday, June 25, Southeast Night at Busch Stadium 2005 will feature the St. Louis Cardinals taking on the Pittsburg Pirates. The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety has developed a more effective plan to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries in Southeast Missouri. An informational and training meeting is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28 at the Raudmont Inn (formerly the Ramada Inn) at Interstate 55 Exit 67, Sikeston, Mo. Lunch will be provided. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Cape Girardeau is planning its second annual benefit auction, "Reaching for the Stars," for May 6 at Southeast Missouri State University Center Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Silent auction begins at 7 p.m.; live auction by Barks Auction Service follows. KFVS12's Mike Shain will be host of the event. The United Way of Southeast Missouri will hold its 18th annual charity golf tournament June 6 at the Cape Girardeau Country Club. Lunch will be served at noon and tee time is at 1 p.m. The format is a four-person scramble, handicapped (men and women). Entries must be in by May 20.
