Cheerleaders raise funds for tsunami victims

The Meadow Heights and Oak Ridge cheerleaders recently teamed up at a Meadow Heights basketball game to raise money for tsunami victims. The teams took sponsors for three-point shots and free throws, had a 50/50 drawing, raffled off baskets and T- shirts, and accepted donations. A total of $365 was collected for tsunami relief and sent to the Women's Missionary Union Heartfund Tsunami Relief, a foundation through the Southern Baptist Convention. All the donations will benefit victims.
