A recent campaign, "A Soldier's Christmas," assures that soldiers in Iraq are not forgotten by providing personal care items, cards and cash toward postage. Started by Regional Title, help by area schoolchildren, churches, local businesses and civic groups expanded the campaign, which resulted in 321 boxes shipped to Iraq. Regional Title offices are in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Sikeston, Mo., and may be contacted by individuals or groups interested in learning more about "A Soldier's Christmas."
Big Brothers Big Sisters, a youth mentoring organization focused on developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people received a bicycle from Regions Bank to be used as a fundraising tool for the organization. Raffle tickets were sold at West Park Mall where Big Brothers Big Sisters raised $403. Roger Williams of Tamms, Ill., won the bicycle.
