Executive Club meeting to hear actor, singer

Dick Conway, an actor and baritone, will be the guest speaker during the 7 p.m. Executive Club meeting Friday at the Drury Inn. Conway has performed in many videos and on the theater stage. He has a degree from Maryville College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

The club, formed in 1951, is seeking new members. The club is affiliated with the Associated Clubs of Topeka, Kan., and meets six times a year for a meal and entertainment. Dues are $60 a year for couples and $35 for singles.

Chili supper set tonight at Clippard Elementary

The PTA of Clippard Elementary School will hold a chili supper from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the school. Tickets are $3.50 and are available at the door.

The event is the largest fund-raising effort for the year for the Parent Teachers Association.
