Cape benefit to help March of Dimes

Liberty Tax Service and Pursley Chiropractic are partnering for a March of Dimes benefit called "Dance for Babies" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Tax, 2145 William St., Cape Girardeau. Filming for the National Children's Dance Contest will have video exposure on YouTube. The public will vote for the winning video. Contest entries can be uploaded at www.libertydanceforbabies.com. Pursley Chiropractic will provide massages while people are participating in Dance for Babies or having income taxes prepared.

St. Paul Rummage sale benefits missions

St. Paul Lutheran Church will hold a rummage sale/fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 and from 7 a.m. to noon Feb. 2 in the fellowship hall to support the church's mission outreach program. The fundraiser is co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial Chapter 30281. Donations of household items, toys, baby equipment and clean name-brand clothing will be received in the fellowship hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Wednesday. Badge opportunities at the Nature Center

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in first to sixth grade can earn badges related to birds, mammals, endangered species and aquatics from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center. Hikes, discovery tables and career information will be offered to assist in meeting requirements. For a list of the badge requirements that will be covered, contact the nature center at 290-5218. Registration is required.

Benefit to be held for Jackson tornado sirens

A Rotary bowling tournament will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Main Street Lanes in Jackson. The early session is geared for families, the later session for adults. Donations will benefit Jackson tornado siren project. For more information, call Rob Stephens at 450-3052.
