Cape Genealogical Society meets Tuesday

The Cape Girardeau County Genealogical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Regional Library in Jackson. The program for the evening, "Genetic Genealogy: Using DNA to Trace Your Family Tree," will be presented by Pam Johnson of the Regional Crime Lab. The Cape Girardeau County Genealogical Society meets bimonthly on the fourth Tuesday. Nonmembers are welcome at all meetings. For more information, call Bill Eddleman at 335-1507.

Trivia night Saturday at St. Joseph's

St. Joseph's Home and School will hold a trivia night beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday. Play starts at 7 p.m. at the Parish Center. Snacks, soft drinks and door prizes will be provided. For more information or reservations, call Rick Bohn at (573) 264-3980.

Three-day rummage sale planned at St. Paul

Donations are still being sought for the rummage sale to be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 1 and 2, and from 7 a.m. to noon Feb. 3 at St. Paul Lutheran Fellowship Hall, 223 West Adams St., Jackson. Donations will be received from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 29 to 31 at Fellowship Hall. Volunteers are also needed to assist with the sale that funds St. Paul's mission trips. Last year the sale netted $6,700. This year's projection is $7,000. For more information, contact Mary Winterhof at 243-5080.
