Annual fish and chicken fry to kick off this week
The Knights of Columbus will hold its annual fish and chicken fry from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday starting this week and running through Nov. 2. The event will be held at Knights of Columbus 6420 on U.S. 61 in Scott City. Proceeds will benefit the council and five area parishes. The menu is chicken, fish, potato wedges, baked beans, hush puppies, coleslaw, tea, coffee and water. Children younger than 6 eat free.
Jackson church supper scheduled for Sept. 30
Immanuel Lutheran Church, 496 Route F in Jackson, will hold a church supper at 4 p.m. Sept. 30. Kettle beef, ham, chicken and dumplings will be served. There will be a country store. Children younger than 6 eat free. Carryouts will be available.
Steak night to be heldat Cape VFW on Oct. 6
The VFW Post 3838 Ladies' Auxiliary will host steak night from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 6 at the VFW Hall at 1049 N. Kingshighway. The public is invited.
Zion Lutheran Church to hold sausage supper
Zion Lutheran Church will hold a sausage supper from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 14. The church is two miles south of Gordonville on Highway 25. Children younger than 6 eat free.
