Leopold picnic set for this weekend
The Leopold picnic, begins at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Parish Church. A tradition since 1892, the picnic has been held annually except during war years. Reprints of the 125th jubilee book will be for sale and souvenirs as well. The all-you-can eat meal includes fried chicken, dumplings, kettle beef, vegetables and dessert. Homemade ice cream will be available. Other attractions include raffles, music, games of chance, washers, horseshoes, a fish pond for children, a country store gift shop and a beer stand.
