New McKendree to serve catfish, chicken tenders

The United Methodist Men of New McKendree will hold a fried catfish and chicken breast tenders dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the New McKendree Celebration Center (across from South Elementary). The meal includes coleslaw, baked beans, spiral potatoes, dessert and drink. Discounted price for 5- to 12-year-olds; children younger than 5 eat free.

The First Assembly of God at 312 Dearborn St. in Scott City will hold a fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, with all proceeds benefiting Scott City Fire Department Christmas baskets. Free for ages 5 and under; discounted for ages 6 to 11. Carryouts available. Menu includes hush puppies, baked beans, coleslaw, fried potatoes, iced tea and coffee.

St. Joseph Parish to hold annual dinner

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- St. Joseph Parish will hold its annual chicken and dumpling and sausage dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 9 at 138 Saint Joseph Lane in Perryville, Mo. The all-you-can-eat buffet includes dressing, homemade pie and bread. There will be a country store.
