St. Lawrence Church to hold fall dinner
NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- St. Lawrence Church in New Hamburg will be holding its annual Fall Dinner and Country Store from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the St. Lawrence Parish Center. The menu will include turkey, chicken and dressing, sweet potatoes, buttered potatoes, corn, slaw, green beans, dessert and a drink.
Cost is $6.50 for adults, $3 for children 6-12, five and under eat free. Carryouts will be available after 11:30 a.m. The church is at 1017 State Highway A. For more information, call (573) 545-3317.
Jackson Memorial VFW schedules breakfast
In honor of Veterans Day Monday, the Jackson Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10495 and Auxiliary will hold its all-you-can-eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast from 6 to 9 a.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall. Along with the breakfast, the auxiliary will hold its annual drawing at 8:45 a.m. Winner need not be present. For tickets, costing $1 each or six for $5, see any VFW member or buy at the door.
The breakfast costs $4 per person. Proceeds will go to the Brookside Memorial to Veterans of all Wars in Jackson.
Fish and chicken supper to be held at Bell City
BELL CITY, Mo. -- A fish and chicken supper will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Bell City Community building. The menu will also include hush puppies, slaw, potato salad, beans, dessert and drink. The cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 6-12, five and under eat free. Proceeds will go to pay for the community building.
Harmony Lodge to hold banquet and dance
Harmony Lodge No. 40 of The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Missouri will be holding a banquet and dance from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3838 Hall, located at 1049 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.
The cost is $25 per couple for the banquet and dance, $15 per person for the banquet and dance, or $5 per person for the dance only. Music will be provided by D.J. Skyy Jammer. Proceeds will go to benefit widows of the Prince Hall Masonic Family. For tickets, call Willie Jones at 334-3201 or 450-0749.
