A kettle beef and chicken dressing supper will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at New Salem United Methodist Church fellowship hall, Route AA, Daisy. Menu is kettle beef, chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, slaw, bread, cake and drink. Children younger than 5 eat free. The public is invited.

Catfish and chicken dinner set for Saturday

A catfish and chicken dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at New McKendree United Methodist Celebrations Center on Highway 25. All-you-can-eat spiral potatoes, chicken and catfish, slaw, baked beans, dessert and drink are on the menu. For more information, call 450-4203.

Perkins fire department to hold barbecue

The Perkins Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 24th annual all-you-can-eat barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28. The barbecue will feature Boston butt and smoked chickens. Children younger than 6 eat free. A deer rifle will be given away.

Holiday at Hobbs dinner to be Nov. 3

Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its annual "Holiday at Hobbs" dinner from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3. Turkey, dressing and ham will be on the menu. Discounted price for children ages 6 to 12. For more information, call 335-9308.

Men's club to hold sausage supper

The Hanover Lutheran Church Men's Club will hold a sausage supper at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at 2949 Perryville Road. Children younger than 5 eat free. The menu is whole hog sausage, potatoes, kraut, green beans, apple butter, bread, dessert and drink. Carryouts will be available.

St. Joseph Parish plans fall festival and dinner

St. Joseph Parish, Apple Creek, will hold its fall festival and dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4. There will be a country store. Menu includes pork sausage, backbone and sauerkraut, chicken and dumplings. Take Interstate 55 to the Biehle exit (exit 123), go south on Route B one mile and then left on Route F five miles.
