The Mungle family will have a reunion from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 17 at Jackson City Park Pavillion No. 6. There will be a basket dinner.

Cape Girardeau Public Library schedules events

  • The book discussion group will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 19. Participants will share their views on the book "Feather Crowns" by Bobbie Ann Mason. The novel may be checked out at the reference desk with a patron card.

* A program on retirement planning solutions and investment strategies will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 21. Registration is preferred but not required. The program is presented by the Bank of Missouri, the library's June literacy partner.

* The foreign film "Monster Thursday" will be shown at 7 p.m. Sept. 26. It is a Norwegian film with English subtitles, suggested for ages 17 and older. Approximately 100 minutes. There is no admission charge. For more information, call 334-5279.
