Overseas tour planning meeting scheduled
A planning meeting for anyone interested in touring Italy and Switzerland during the summer of 2003 will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 11 at the Advance High School Library.
The meeting will determine if there is sufficient interest in an adult trip, say Advance High School teachers Pat Hindman and April McFerron, who will host the meeting.
The trip would include a tour of Rome, including the Vatican, St. Francis' hometown of Assisi, Vernona, Venice and Lucerne, Switzerland.
"The tour will be a little different from those we have sponsored in the past," said Hindman. "This trip is designed for adults. We'll spend more days in one place, and the tour will be less structured, allowing for some free time."
Prices will include most travel arrangements, meals and hotel accommodations.
